One with Nature

Despite all the horrible weather in Oklahoma this May we have been able to enjoy good weather as well. Cooper has been begging for us all to go camping at the farm and so we decided to grant his wish!
Gabby was so excited to go fishing.
 practicing her casting.
 Lets go!
I enjoyed a nice little Jeep ride to the front gate. Depsite the humidity it was beautiful.
Cooper did not understand why he didn't catch anything right away. He must have gotten spoiled with the Crawdad.
 But he tried.
We roasted hot dogs and sat on the porch.
and roasted marshmallows in our PJs.
 MISS-chevious?
 Miss-tired?
Both kiddos slept all night on their cots and we woke up to beautiful sunshine!
The dogs enjoyed every minute too!
For Memorial Day we drove down to Roff, OK to see our friends the Buxtons who were in visiting from California with their new baby Charlie! John Davids parents have a ranch there and we did all those things they don't get to do in Cali.
Like shoot at targets.

Hudson and Sterling were all about the headsets.
Watch cows run by chasing the hay truck.
 Roast hotdogs with your buddies.
crawl on the floor with Mrs. Buxton.
In college Jill & I spent ALOT of time with these two guys. We missed her for this pic

It was so good to spend the day with them and I am so grateful for Dr. & Mrs. Buxton for hosting all of us! And it was a perfect way to meet Mr. Charlie.
We had to leave a little early so Rob could get some sleep before work. Wade & Whitney were nice enough to offer to let Cooper stay with them. He was so excited and had such a great time exploring with them.

Later that week we got to join Katie, Jack & Jaynie at the zoo. It had been way too long since we had spent anytime together. It was a great day!
Jaynie wanted to go through this bird exhibit with me and I couldn't stop laughing at her guinea hen impression.
Jack and Cooper pretty much sat together like this all day.
Gabby was hesitant to pose with any of the sculptures but by the end of the day she was all over the tiger.
Katie and a promised each other we would not let so much time pass.
