A little grown up time!

A few months ago I had mentioned to Rob how I would like to go to Scottsdale or Santa Fe or somewhere out that way for a get away weekend sometime. Then a couple of months ago the Kovashs asked us if we might want to join them on a trip to Scottsdale. It was fate!
After some planning with AJ and Gigi we got the kids all taken care of we booked it! They had been before and so it was easy planning. Our flights were super early so we dropped the Gabby off at Mrs Caseys and Cooper off with Ilena so they could take them each to school and met Wade and Whitney at the airport. We took off at 8:30 and were in Phoenix by 8:30. It was perfect. We arrived to beautiful weather and the awesome accommodations at the Arizona Biltmore.
Our reservation included most meals so we decided to see if we could get some breakfast or lunch. I ordered the French Toast and it was incredible.

They only had their room ready so we stashed all our bags in there and the boys headed off to play some golf.
Whitney and I decided to take a look around the resort and before we knew it we were in the spa each getting pampered.
After we were done we decided to go meet the boys on the golf course and enjoy the views.
We hung out at the pool the rest of the afternoon and then were surprised to find out our room was the adjoining room to theirs with a living room between so we basically had a huge suite! We decided to hit up the FANCY restaurant for dinner that night. We hung out at the bar for a little while before to watch some of the Thunder game.
The food at that restaurant wasn't my favorite but we got to sit outside and they served us soufflé and cotton candy for dessert.
The next morning we woke up had a nice breakfast and then headed out to hike up squaw peak. We had to exercise a little while on vacation right?

The guys got way ahead of us and we found this bench dedicated to someone that said Boomer Sooner so we made the guys pose with it on the way down.
Then it was CABANA time. We rented a Cabana at the pool and enjoyed the life of luxury for the day. Watch the Thunder by the pool and soaked in the sun.

That night we had a great dinner outside by the fire and enjoyed some drinks outside. And called it a night. The next morning was Sunday and we didn't leave until late so we had all day to relax. Whitney and I walked to the shopping center nearby so I could get a Phoenix snowglobe from Saks (it is sort of a go to souvenir for me). We had to kill a little time waiting for the store to open so we stopped at the awesome burger joint and treated ourselves to a milkshake.
Meanwhile the guys had found themselves another Cabana by the pool and were enjoying the game and the "view"
We were sitting near a very interesting group of people who I swore had to be from the show Jersey Shore. I eaves dropped on their conversations all day. They were so entertaining. I had to treat myself to a cocktail to bring myself back to reality.
And then it was time to clean up and head to the airport.
Thank you Kovashs for the invitation it was a perfect weekend. We will have to do it again!
