Christmas Day and Christmas Night

Because of the late night we decided to sleep in and save Santa for later. Once we were all up and presentable we all headed to Gigi and Cappy's for Christmas lunch. I was very lazy and did not do a very good job of taking pictures. But I did get a few priceless ones. Gigi could hardly wait for Cooper to open his Santa bag....and boy was it filled with some good loot. A keyboard and books and even a HUGE fire truck.
And he could hardly stand how long it took to get the paper off Aunt Margaret and Uncle Paul's gift..his very own shopping cart. (from the people in the background, can you tell he was the center of attention?)
He was such a good little elf....he passed out all the gifts to everyone. And there were a ton of gifts. He got eveyone right too. I built up a pretty good appetite. He was the first to sample Jenny and I's buns. They were so yummy..in fact my mouth is watering just thinking about them.
After lunch there were even more gifts to open. Gigi gave Rob the one thing on his wish list...Lincoln Logs, Cooper seemed to think it was a stool though.
When we got home Santa had come!!! He delivered this awesome tool bench.
Cooper started playing with it immediately. He sure is his Pops grandson. It is like he knows exactly what to do with each tool.
He needed a little break and wanted to sit with his firetruck from Gigi and Cappy.
Then it was elf time again....he did a great job. Look at him deliver Belinda's gifts.
We saved this gift for last. We knew once he opened it he would not pay attention to anything else. It was his very own Lionel Polar Express train set from Papa Jerry & Nana. He kept crawling all over the box trying to get closer to the train.
The Hammett family is not doing Christmas until mext week but of course AJ snuck one gift for Cooper in before we left for Canada. He doesn't look very happy in it, but he grew to love it over the next few days.
IT was a great Christmas and I really felt honored to have Belinda spend the holiday with us. Thank you for driving all the way from Abilene to see us. We are so lucky to have our Aunt Belinda share such wonderful memories!
