He Has Risen Indeed

Easter was extra special this year because Gran and Pops were still in town. God worked a miracle and the Easter Bunny was still able to hop on over to our house to fill the kiddos Easter Baskets despite the hail. He went a little over board with the baskets of goodies.

But he thought it was worth it when the kids saw them.

Gran, Belinda, the kids & I all went to the early service at church (another miracle that we somehow we got up dressed and to church by 8:30) After Sunday School we headed up to Edmond for our official Easter Lunch at AJ's.
She had a full house. Gigi & Cappy, Grandmother & Grandad, Aunt Karen, Aunta Belinda & Uncle Zach all made the trip to the Kolbensvik Casa for some delicious BBQ.

We somehow managed to keep them clean during the meal and were able to snap a few pictures with both kids in them. Not the best pose but at least they are together.

After lunch Uncle Paul, Aunt Margaret, and Sophie came over for the awesome Egg Hunt. Jenny and Jeremiah have the absolute best yard for an Easter Egg Hunt.
The kids could hardly stand the anticipation of waiting to be given the go ahead.
Sophie is a a champion egg hunter. Most eggs had change in them. Sophie picked the first one up shook it and said, "YES! Cooper we lucked out there is money in these eggs"  That girl cracks me up!
But Cooper gave her a run for her money this year.
Georgia went at her own pace but enjoyed every second.
 Still going strong.
So proud of himself for finding the Golden Egg.
Sophie and Cooper thought they were done and then Jeremiah surprised them and opened up the other part of the backyard up..more eggs!
Showing off the stump chair Pops made him out of a stump around the fire pit (yes I told you it was an awesome house. They basically have 2 back yards and one of them has a fire pit in it)
Meanwhile back in yard 1, Gabby girl was still hunting.
It was a successful hunt! Happy kids!
Rob and Gabby hid upstairs to nap while the rest of us enjoyed dessert and the rope swing.

I love both these women more than you would ever know. Their lifelong friendship is proof that "sole sisters" really do exist. Belinda thank you for sharing Easter with us. Our family isn't complete without you.
 Love these two guys!
DO you think these two like being grandparents?
Uncle J and Cooper left to take a hike. (its Coopers favorite thing to do with J) While they were gone this sassafrass woke up and enjoyed showing off in front of everyone.
After what seemed like hours we spotted these two climbing back up out of the creek.
I would consider it a successful hike when your shoes and pants look like this.
After everyone else left Rob and I got busy packing up the car and things got quiet downstairs. Looks like Gabby and Cooper found some comfortable places to sit (and snuggle)

I hope your Easter was as perfect as ours. God truly has blessed us and we are so grateful for the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ. May he bless you as well.
