Last weekend we took a quick trip down to Dallas for the wedding of one of my best friends little sister. Kristin Hodge married Eric Gragg and it was a wonderful wedding. It was smooth sailing at 1st. So far both our kiddos re very good in the car...their dad not so much sometimes. We ran out of gas just south of the Texas border. Good thing it was early in the morning and still somewhat cool so Rob ran to the nearest gas station and caught a ride back.
We stopped in Denton to meet up with Whitmires at the Magers house so Jill & Kauli could meet Georgia and Jill & I could meet Kauli's newest arrival Piper. I was not very good at getting pictures because our boys kept us busy. Nolan Magers, Colton Whitmire and Cooper are all within 6 months of one another and they played like old friends. Nolan got a power wheel for his birthday and was kind enough to let Colton & Cooper try it out. Nolan was so patient teaching Cooper how to drive.
They all had a great time and we only had one minor accident.
They did get all pouty when we told them it was time to put the car up.
We tried our darndest to get a picture of the 3 of us and our kiddos.
We swung by Aunt Pat's house once we got to Dallas so she could meet her newest Great-great niece.
After a quik cat nap it was time to clean up and head to the wedding. We picked up a couple of hitchhikers along the way. Good thing they were going to the wedding too! :)
Meabwhile I had left the kids in the trustworthy hands of Aunt Jenny and Grandmother.
ANd they headed over to Uncle Zach's for some roast for dinner and a little relaxin on the couch. (Cooper must have had fun because he keeps asking to see Uncle Zach now)
The ceremony was beautiful and we were able to catch a glimpse of our long lost Lithuanian Coco Jennifer! We were very anxious to get to the reception so we could all give her hugs. It has almost been a year since we have seen her.
Old friends really are the best of friends. It had actually been probably more like 2 years since all 5 of us have been together.
It was a Fantastic night and one I really needed. Thank you to Grandmother, Jenny, Aunt Karen & Zach for watching my kiddos so I could see my girls.
