On Friday mom , Jenny and I headed out to Lexington to take a look at the Extreme Makeover house they were building. Our good family friend Rod is the Kelly Moore Division Manager and they donated all the paint so he got us VIP passes. It was a pretty incredible experience. All this work going on for a family that really needs it. It was cold and snowing at the beginning of the build resulting in a wet site. But you don't know mud until you see this jobsite. In fact they had to discourage some of the spectators and volunteers from coming because of it.
This is what you first saw...mud everywhere.
But that didn't stop us from getting our picture
Apparently ABC does 3 or 4 homes at one time infact they finished one in Tulsa on Wednesday. The hosts and stars all travel around from each one doing their little parts of the job so we didn't get to see any of them. It does turm out we saw Xhibit the rapper on this one but didn't realize who it was until we got home. Jenny had to work at noon so we didn't stay long. Mom and I were curious though and so we decided to head back at 10:30 pm to check out the progress.
It was a little colder but they definetly had made some headway
I am looking forward to watching the episode. Rumor has it, it may be the season finale!!
