So the saying.."When the dogs are away the cats will play". That pretty much sums up Cooper's adventure with Gran & Pops while ROb and I were in Disney World. He made the rounds all over Texas visiting friends and family. Of COurse he started of in Dallas at Grandmother & Grandads.
Notice...he is apparently allowed to play with Knives at their house
Then it was north on 75 to visit the Warners in Van Alstyene. Where Ruthie had a MILLION toys for Cooper to play with. It was a short visit but he was able to catch the Super Bowl pre-game show
Hanging out with Ruthie the "Super Saints" fan
And Bob better known as "Swampgas"
Hopefully this man will teach Cooper to fly one day
After a couple of hours it was back on 75 again north to Bonham, TX to visit the Browns. Where Cooper got to play with all their dogs. He didn't much like the little one but the big ones are his favorite.
Henry and Patti hadn't seen Cooper since he was very little.
I think they were surprised at how much he had grown.
Then back to Grandmother & Grandad's for some dinner and a sleep.
Grandmother always makes Cooper smile
Uncle Zach is smitten for his nephew
On Monday morning Gran & Pops picked up Aunt Pat (Gran's Aunt) and they all headed down 45 to Houston. Apparantly Cooper and Pat chatted the entire time.
First things first in Houston....have to go see Nana (Gran's mom). It had been since Thanksgiving since she had seen him. He has changed so much since then. Not so much a baby anymore...mostly all boy.
Hanging out in Nana's room
Then they loaded Nana up in the car and headed over to Uncle Mark (Gran's borther) & Aunt Lou's house. Might I add their house is my favorite house EVER....too bad it wasn't for sale and in Norman so I could steal it from them
Cooper got to sit at the Grown Up table for dinner
Gran, Uncle Mark, Coop
Cooper loves Aunt Pat
she sings "doodlee-doo" and he melts in her arms
Cooper thought it was hilarious to put his paci in Uncle Mark's mouth
Looks like he was in deep thought about what he wanted for breakfast
Breakfast with the ladies
Aunt Lou and Ellie
Silly Uncle Mark....no matter how hard you try I am not going to put my thumbs up and say "Gig-em"
Lunch with Nana & Fritz
Thursday they headed back to the Big D so Pops could catch a flight to Pennsylvania. But they made a pit stop at Chili's where Aunt Pat fed him ketchup (he apparantly wanted to drink some) and he tried corn on the cob
Do you think he liked it?
As you may all know that night a HUGE snowstorm hit Dallas (ok well it was huge for Dallas). Pops made his flight but Gran and Cooper pretty much stayed "Cooped" up at Grandmother & Grandads
Grandad got Cooper all bundled up and they went out for a stroll in the snow
AJ couldn't stand not seeing Cooper for that long so she had to make a trip to Dallas to get her fix. Here she is teaching Cooper that he can put shoes on his feet
Uncle Zach got Cooper this Harley shirt and these colorful shoes. So we had to get a picture of them in matching outfits.
Cooper giving Danielle a snuggle
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family that loves Cooper so much. They are always more than happy to take him so Rob and I can have some time together and this time was no different. An entire week kid free and full nights of sleep. But I can't tell you how HAPPY we were to get home to see our little guy. The days and nights just aren't as great without him.
