A Houston We Will Go!!

At the end of February Gran, Cooper, Georgia and I all headed down to Houston for a visit. I am embarrassed to say the kids and I had not seen Nana since AJ's wedding. After a pit stop in Dallas for dinner with Uncle Zach & his new lady Natalie, a sleep and breakfast with Grandmother & Grandad we headed south on 45. Aunt Lou made grilled some delicious steak and we got a good visit in with her and Amy.
The next morning we headed over to see Nana & Fritz. Cooper and Georgia entertained themselves with Coopers trains.
And Georgia impressed everyone with her smile and giggles.
Nana decided she needed mom and I to help her clean out her closet. Cooper entertained Fritz while we the ladies were in the bedroom.
Of course Nana had to take a break and feed Gabby girl!
(she competes with Aunt Margaret for baby whispering)

The weekend we were in Houston it was the kick off for the Houston Rodeo and it just so happens that the parade for the rodeo starts right outside Nana & Fritz' apartment. When we walked them downstairs for lunch they had hats for the two "social ambassadors" to wear.
After leaving the two love birds we headed to the mall with the mission to find Nana a dress for Sarah's wedding in May. And we totally hit the jackpot at Macy & Dillards.
Mark & Lou had a banquet to go to on Friday night so we grabbed Amy and Ellie (who was in town for the evening from College Station) and took Nana & Fritz to dinner. Of course they ate in the dining room before we could pick them up but they came along for dessert.
Amy and Ellie totally kept my kids entertained the whole meal. I cannot believe how old they are getting. Amy has her learners permit for goodness sake!!!
The next morning Uncle Mark picked up Nana & Fritz and brought them over for Pancakes!!! While Nana tried on her dresses Uncle Mark kept Gabby entertained. Look at that smile!
We found a dress for Nana by the way. She is going to look incredible!!
We headed back to Dallas before lunch. (we made a pit stop on Harwin street for some knock-off Tory Burch bags). Got a good visit in with Grandmother, Grandad, Aunt Karen and Uncle Zach. And Coop even gave Gabby a bath in Zach's sink.
Another successful road trip by Gran & Caro. Of course we were all very happy to get back to Norman to our beds and my wonderful hubby! But looking forward to the next trip to Houston!
