Kansas City here we come.....

Last Friday night we headed up to Edmond to celebrate Rob's best friend (all the way back from elementary school) Dustin's 30th Birthday.Dustin's mom hosted an awesome cookout. Cooper soaked himself with water so he spent the evening dressed in a diaper and boat shoes.
He LOVED the drink bucket
And Denise tried to help him find something to drink
Then we got to have a piece of this awesome ice cream cake (my favorite!)
I had to snap this picture of  Denise and the MWC boys
Brant's (on the right) son Jaxon renamed Rob "Nub, Nub" interesting and funny
The next morning we woke up early and drive over to Dustin & Heather's house to surprise Dustin....we were headed to Kansas City to celebrate. HE had no idea where he was going for the weekend and that we were joining them.
The views in Kansas are so......actually beautiful but simple
Once we got to the hotel we headed out to check out the city.
The boys were hungry
Of course I had to get a group picture first
Heather and I posing our skinny faces
We took the Caram's to dinner at Capital Grille....very fancy and very yummy

After walking off dinner around the Plaza we headed back to the hotel. And lucky for us it had a rotating lounge up on the top floor. Great drinks and a great view.

The next morning the boys headed off to play golf and Heather and I went shopping and the famous Country Club Plaza. We had an awesome brunch outside on a patio and hit almost every store on the Plaza. Of course Rob didn't get any pictures on the golf course, but they came back red and tired so it musy have been a successful.
We decided to try downtown for dinner. It was good "soulfood" and after a day of shopping it was nice and cool inside the restuarant
This is how Rob felt about all the pictures I made him smile for.
We went back up to Skies for drinks and desserts. And we got a great view of the Memorial Day Fireworks at the WWI Memorial.
We slept in Monday and then enjoyed lunch at Jack Stack Bar-b-que
We had such a great time with Dustin & Heather and hope we get to do it again.
HAPPY 30th DUSTIN!!!!!!
