Last weekend AJ and Jeremiah had their first shower!! Gran & Pops were leaving Saturday and their friends wanted to celebrate the upcoming wedding. In case I have not mentioned it Jeremiah's dad and our parents all went to high school together. Many of their old friends have remained close throughout the years and have even added some very special friends along the way.
The shower was at Doug & Karen Park's house and the weather could not have been more perfect for the backyard party. Their daughter Laura did a fantastic job decorating.
And she made hundreds of yummy mini cupcakes that Cooper and I just couldn't resist.
Bob and Ruthie brought Cooper a new Thomas the Train book and very first thing he asked Grandmother to read it to him. Isn't this precious? She is the best story teller EVER!
This is Jay Trash, he was my dad's Best Man and he happens to be a minister and will be marrying J&J. Is that not the coolest?
Of course Uncle Mark & Aunt Lou made it up. Can you tell they are related?
Of course Cooper demanded quite a bit of attention. And he got it. He was beside himself not only were Grandmother & Grandad there, but Belinda, Aunt Lou, Ruthie and Aunt Pat. It was like he was in "auntie" heaven.
This is one of my favorite pictures ever...Bob & Ruthie Warner are to of the neatest most incredible friends ever. How cute are they?
We managed to snap this family picture of the "Houser/Patterson" side of the family at the very end shower. (Coop had already snuggled up in Rachel Park's bed for the night) It was at this point Zach had the greatest quote of the night...he asked our Dad "Dad, how does it make you feel that almost all your friends have left and Aunt Pat is still here going strong?".
Our family is so lucky to have such awesome friends. Thank you to the hosts (Bob & Ruthie Warner, Paul & Jenny Rosendahl and Doug & Karen Park) for an incredible evening!
