So like most boys Cooper's age he LOVES anything train related. He notices every one we see or hear, even point out railroad tracks, and he turns everything into trains (cars, chairs, dogs, shoes, etc). While we were gone in Maui Gran and Pops had a HUGE surprise for Cooper. They had booked a trip on the Heartland Flyer all the way from Norman to Ft. Worth!
Look how excited he was to watch them start from the window. They even had a dinner car and Cooper was not spared any luxuries. I mean that is what happens when you spend a week in the hands of your grandparents right?
Apparently his absolute favorite part was when the conductor punched his ticket just like in the Polar Epress.
My mom said he smiled from ear to ear.
That is until he crashed! My little tater tot slept like a log on the train.
Once they arrived in Ft. Worth they had two more train rides. One from Ft. Worth to Dallas and then it was all abourd the dart rail to Plano. He waited patiently with Pops at each station.
And loved sitting next to Gran for the rides.
I can't wait for Rob and I to get to take him on his next train ride!!!! Thank you Gran & Pops, Cooper is so lucky that you think of such awesome and fun things to do together.
