On the Road Again...

Gran, Cooper & I left Norman last Friday for a quick trip south to visit family. We stayed the night in Dallas with Grandmother and Grandad and were able to get some good visiting in. Grandad and Cooper probably went in 100 circles around their house.  After a breakfast of my favorite French Toast at Cindi's we headed south to Columbus, TX to visit Aunt Nicky and Cousin Austin. We took the back roads and tried to find some cute little shops. We did find a great one in Waco and I bought the first official new item for Georgia's room.
As soon as we got the the Hammett's Cooper HAD to show Aunt Nicky or "Mickey" as he calls her, all his trucks and trains.
Then it was time to feed the fish off the back patio.
Even Cousin Melissa (she is off at school in College Station) dog Elvis joined in the fun.
We spent the night chatting up and then got a good nights sleep so Cooper was ready for truck and train time again.
Austin who is a senior in high school even took some very precious time from his social schedule to come see us. He even took Coop for a ride in the mule around the property and up to see the train tracks up close.
After a yummy breakfast we headed east to Houston. We got there a little early and figured we should drive by and see the house Grandmother and Grandad lived in when they were in Houston.
Of course we had to see Nana first thing!!!! We even brought her and Fritz some tulips and chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines. I wish I had gotten a video of Cooper he was totally taken with Fritz. Every time he came around the corner Cooper would say "Hi Fritz"
We met up with Aunt Lou, Uncle Mark, and Lou's mom Pat for dinner. It was a wonderful Valentine dinner and we even kept Nana and Fritz out a little late. Aunt Lou had this awesome stacking toy ready when we got home and Cooper couldn't get enough of it.
Monday morning was of course actually Valentine's and Uncle Mark & Aunt Lou made very special French Toast for Coop.
He loved it and ate it all up!
We swung by to give Nana and Fritz one last hug and waved them goodbye.
We took all the back roads home. We found a wonderful little chocolate shop and Cooper had to have a cake dot. It was very yummy.
We finally made it back Sunday evening and I was able to swing by the Callahans to meet Miss Finley. And it was worth the wait she is perfect.
Cooper and I finally made it home around midnight and started our week out early Monday morning. Kitchen remodel time.....
