Merry Chirstmas 2014!

Its July and looking at all these pictures gets me all back in the holiday spirit.

On Christmas Eve morning we had our annual breakfast with the Varners. Instead of trying to get all 5 kids to behave at Ozzie's we decided just to have it their house.

Cooper loved his first ever meal on a TV tray.

Ruthie thought the TV trays were pretty awesome too. She could get to whatever she wanted.

It was so fun exchanging gifts. Ilena always thinks of the most thoughtful things and knows our kids so well.

It was not so much fun keeping her out of the tree.

We took it easy the rest of the day before we got all dressed up for the family service at church.

We took our annual family photo. I am very sad that Toby wasn't in it though. He just didn't want to get up from his comfy spot.

I tried to get one of all the kids. FAIL!

I asked Georgia to "Smile like a princess"

We all made it through the service in the sanctuary.

I think Rob liked having this distraction

The kids loved being part of the Christmas story.

We had dinner at Charlestons after church and then headed home to open their one gift on Christmas Eve. Their PJs!!!

She had know idea the magic of Christmas she would wake up too.

There wasn't too much for Santa to get ready.

but there was plenty under the tree.

This box...it had my favorite gift of them all inside.

The next morning we woke the kids up and told them Santa had come. He brought them a trip somewhere and that the answer was inside the Big Box! They could hardly stand it.

Surprise....a trip to DISNEY WORLD!!!

complete with a count down calendar.

and the icing on the cake is they get to go with Meg & Brody.

Stockings are a favorite around here. Everything she pulled out even the toothpaste was her "very favorite thing"

I think ornaments and trees were Ruthies.

We took a break after Santa gifts and Stockings and filled our tummies

And then it was time for more presents. I try to limit the amount the kids get. We don't even get them anything from "Mom and Dad" yet still there are piles.

Ruthie was totally enamored with her new toy from Santa.

After all the gifts had been opened and the paper cleaned up we vegged. ALL DAY LONG. The kids slept in their same pajamas.

and it was wonderful . Ruthie climbed and explored.

 I have always loved Christmas but seeing it through the eyes of my children is even better. And watching them learn about the real reason for the season is what makes life worth it.
