Jill's husband Steven planned a trip to Vegas for his brothers bachelor party so she decided it would be the perfect time to come up for a visit. And it was....it was a perfect weekend. It reminded me of why my 4 years at OU were 4 of the best years of my life because she was there with me!
We ate a yummy dinner at Ted's and Jill and I splurged on swirls.
After we got home we all snuggled up in our PJ's and watched the kiddos play. Then Jill discovered Rob has an Otoscope at home and she could look in everyone ears. She has an abnormal obsession with ears and the wax you find in them.
Good thing Addie girl is used to her mommy playing with her ears.
She may be a fan of her mom checking out her ears but she did not like these 3.
We attempted to let the boys sleep together in Cooper's room. Much like our similiar experiment with Colton it lasted all of 5 minutes.
We had promised the boys a trip to visit the dinosaurs at the Sam Noble Museum so after breakfast and some play time we headed out. The girls were nice and comfy in there strollers fast asleep.
And these two loved getting to spend the afternoon running around the museum.
Doesn't she have the cutest kids?
The boys enjoyed the exhibits. Well for the 2 minutes they spent in each room.
They were especially enthralled by the mammoths privates.
And they loved climbing on this guy, until the security guard came and asked them to get off.
The elevator ride was probably one of their favorites because it travels up to see the skull.
And the canoe in the Native American exhibit was also fun.
They have a great children's room with a fossil dig and plenty of puzzles and Coopers favorite was getting to cut out snowflakes.
And of course we had to take a picture showing our muscles with the buffalo out front.
We had breakfast the next morning at Ozzie's at the Norman airport. The boys loved watching the planes and I loved watching the people. It is a great "people watching" place.
Our big event of the day was Meg's 3rd birthday party. It was a Cowgirl Princess theme and Rob did not want to disappoint. So he dug through Pop's bags and came up with a winner of an outfit.
Well 1st we had to stop off at Dollar General to finish it off with some bathmat chaps.
We were so excited Nolan and Addie got to come along with us. Cooper could not wait to introduce Nolan to all of his friends.
Meg even had a pony and a miniature horse at her party. Cooper had to take a ride.
as did Nolan
Miss Channing was not s huge fan but luckily Meg's cousin Hannah was there to help her out.
Before the guy with the ponies loaded them up he wanted to get a picture of Rob on the wild steed. He looks very at home in the saddle don't you think?
It was time for cake and Cooper and Nolan got a front row seat. (rumor has it Nolan might have even got to blow out the birthday candles)
Pinata time! We need to work on Cooper's swing.
Meg on the other hand has a great one.
We got a few of the kiddos to pose for pictures.
And luckily we remembered to snap this one of the Magers and Cunninghams before it was time to go. Despite the look on Cooper's face I think this really was his best weekend ever.
Thank you Meg for including all 4 of us in your celebration!
It took a couple of days but I think these two have warmed up to eachother as well. I think they will be inseparable soon too!
Before we all left we had to pop in an old Sooner Scandals video that Rob, Jill, Bryson and I are all in. It was hilarious to watch and I think the kids all got a kick out of seeing the "stars" on the TV all sitting in the room with them.
Thank you so much Jill for coming up for a few days. It really was awesome. Cooper has been asking for Nolan for a week now!! He misses him. And I miss you! who would have thought when we moved into the dorms in 1998 that 14 years later we would be hanging this picture on our fridge.
