Gran & Pops only got to spend the night in Norman because they had to head down to Dallas to get set-up for the Dallas Safari Club. We decided to take a "staycation" in Dallas for a few days and we headed down on Friday.
The weather was so nice when we got to Grandmother and Grandads that we sat outside for a while and enjoyed the sun. Grandmother and Cooper threw berries
And Gabby laughed at Grandad
After dinner we took Cooper over to visit the Lee's and checkout their on going remodel. It only took a few minutes for Cooper and Lauren Margaret to reconnect. And within 30 minutes LM had asked Cooper to marry him. I am going to have to check out their house next time we are down. It is coming along great and I can't wait to see the finished product in a few weeks.
Saturday morning Gabby and I took Coop & Rob down to the Safari Club and we headed to a Sip & See for Ben Weibring and his mommy Steph. Of course I only got pictures of these two firecrackers. Jaynie & Emma met at the shower. Jaynie was fairly shy at the beginning but after a little while we caught them in the other room dancing....and posing.
and posing a little more
and being the older of the two Emma had to pass on her makeup application skills
Little Ben of course was the real star of the show. Those Rahal/Weibrings sure do make beautiful babies.
Meanwhile back at the Convention Center Gran, Pops & Rob were busy keeping up with Cooper (so busy they couldn't take any pictures.
The Godfathers Hunting trip even made the booth
When Gabby and I finally got there she was VERY taken by Henry's sunglasses
Pops & Gran loved getting to show off the grandbabies!
I think Gabby was pretty proud to be sitting in the Sikanni River booth too!
Saturday night Rob and Grandad went to the movies and I took the kiddos over to visit Aunt Pat. Gabby got plenty of lovin from Aunt Pat and Melanie
Santa had left some presents at Aunt Pats house and Cooper was so enthralled with his he did not want to pose. They sure are lucky to have such a cool Great-great Aunt!
Sunday morning we stopped in to see Lauren! Cooper enjoyed all the coloring books she has
and Gabby enjoyed Lauren!!!
We also spent a while visiting Rob's Aunt Lisa, Uncle Mark and a couple of their kids and grandkids! Their two oldest granddaughters came over and Cooper just followed them around like a little puppy. It is always so great to visit with them and we were enjoying ourselves so much that we forgot to take any pictures. They really are special people.
Sunday after the show was over we headed to El Fenix for our annual Mike Hammett Family Christmas.
AJ & Rob claim they sat on the exciting end of the table!
While we were there Santa visited Grandmother and Grandads house and filled all our stockings!
and organized alot of presents.
Before any Christmas gifts could be opened we had a small celebration for Gran & Pops 35th Wedding Anniversary! They sure don't look old enough to have been married that long.
Gabby loved chewing on the ribbons best.
After all the presents had been unwrapped there was one last gift. And Cooper was so excited to see it he was a blur!!!
"A bike for me?" AJ, Uncle Jeremiah and Uncle Zach surprised him with his very own BMX bike.
He jumped right on it and sped off!
He didn't want to get off it all night.
There were 3 HUGE hugs given out!!!
Uncle Zach got a Ninja Suit (long underwear) and had to try it out for all of us.
Newly Wed Christmas!
Of course we had to take the obligatory family pictures!
Monday Gran & Pops kept the kiddos so we could do a little shopping. I think all of them really enjoyed it.
and someone was a Pro Biker when we got back
We did a little cat napping when we got home. And so did Gabby.
Cooper spent a few hours on his tummy playing trains while Aunt Karen tickled his back.
Rob and I got to have dinner with the Callahans! Which meant I got to snuggle with Miss Finley!
Tuesday morning while Rob and I packed up the car Grandmother introduced Cooper to scissors.Thank you Grandmother :)!
It was such a nice trip and despite the fact that I am VERY thankful to be sleeping in my bed again it was so GREAT to get to spend time with Grandmother & Grandad and see so many family & friends.
